Janet Berry is a principal and co-founder of Berry & Kington, PSC. She focuses on small business - providing accounting, tax and management advisory and information technology services.  

Janet is certified for many accounting software packages including Sage Software's MAS 90, Open Systems Accounting Software and QuickBooks. She is experienced with many office productivity software suites. Janet has a wide range of experience in the computer industry and crosses many vertical industries including financial, accounting, medical and legal. She has developed vertical applications for the printing, farming, insurance, manufacturing and environmental laboratory industries. She works with businesses to implement EDI and electronic commerce.  She is certified on various Microsoft operating systems, Sage Mas90 and all versions of QuickBooks 2010 Professional and Enterprise and earlier. 

Janet has been a speaker in the areas of individual and small business taxation for business and civic organizations. She has served as a continuing education instructor at Madisonville Community college in the areas of accounting and information technology. She provides training to business for office productivity software such as Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.

She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the American Women's Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is a member of the AICPA Information Technology division. She has served on the Kentucky Society of CPA Technology Committee and the Business Technology Advisory Committee of Madisonville Community and Technical College. She has earned the AICPA Certificate of Education Achievement in Taxation of Small Business and the AICPA Technology Certificate of Educational Achievement for Microsoft Servers. 

As a member of the NIKE Business and Professional Women's Club in Madisonville, Janet has held numerous club offices. She served on the finance committee and as internal auditor of BPW/KY and on the national finance committee of BPW/USA in Washington, D.C.

Janet started her accounting career after graduation from Loyola University in New Orleans in May of 1975. She earned her Louisiana Certified Public Accountant certificate in July of 1976. After graduation from college, she worked at a local firm in New Orleans and later moved to Florida. After her marriage, Janet moved to Madisonville where she practices today. She holds certified public accounting certificates in Kentucky and Indiana.  Janet is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  She is also a Certified Information Technology Professional.
